The Minneapolis DFL Party has for the first time created a Coordinated Campaign with the mission of electing all our 21 endorsed candidates and build a platform and infrastructure from which we can launch into 2010 for our state wide races. We are working for all our candidates to streamline voter contact programs so we can maximize time and resources amongst all our campaigns. The Coordinated Campaign has hired 5 full time Field Organizers who are in each Ward in the city doorknocking, phoning and recruiting volunteers to help their efforts. We need your help!! This is the city's first RCV/IRV election and we need help educating people on who our candidates are and how to vote for them. There are several events around the city, but the most effective way is if voters get a message from a neighbor or volunteer who can advocate for our candidates and let them know how to vote in person. Whether you are a seasoned doorknocker from Obama and Franken's campaigns or a first time volunteer, our Field Organizers will get you trained and on the doors and phones. The best way for you to make a difference in your neighborhood is to get involved now and help get our candidates elected. We doorknock every day of the week and phonebank Monday through Friday at all times during the day. Please see the calendar for events and contact the organizer listed for each. Or email or call the information below. The Coordinated Campaign has an office at 312 Central Ave SE, suite #298. Phone number: (612) 367-8380 email: volunteer@mpls.dfl.org |
